Patri genitaeque Proli, tak zaczyna się doksologia hymnów o św.
Benedykcie. Świetlista chwała dla Ojca i Syna, taki jest sens tego
zwrotu, ale ów Syn określony jest tu słowem proles, co znaczy
potomstwo, dziecko, i jest rodzaju żeńskiego. Gramatycznie zatem, w
tym hymnie, Jezus jest rodzaju żeńskiego.

Patri genitaeque Proli, that's the beginning of the doxology of hymns
in honour of St Benedict. Luminous glory to the Father and to the
Son, we could translate. But the Son is called proles, which means
child, offspring, and it's feminine gender in Latin. So, in this hymn
the Son of God is – from the grammarian's point of view – of
feminine gender.
