„He was God, Mon and King”

When he was borne that made all thing,
Pastor, creator omnium,
Angelles they began to sing:
Veni, redemptor gencium.

Thre kinges come on goid twelfth day,
Stella mycante previa,
To seche that childe they toke tho way,
Portantes sibi munera.

A sterne forth ladde theis kinges all,
Inquirentes Dominum;
Lying in an asse stall
Invenerunt puerum.

For he was King of kinges heghe,
Rex primus aurum optulit;
And also Lorde and King full right,
Secundus rex thus protulit;

For he was God, Mon and King,
Myrra mortem retulit:
He us all to Heven bring,
Qui mortem Cruce voluit.
